Open Markdown locally
Drop one or two files here, or choose them from your device. Their source stays in this browser tab unless you explicitly import a document.
.md, .markdown, .mdown, or .mkd · Up to 2 MB each
Read Markdown in your browser, without uploading it
Open a .md, .markdown, .mdown, or .mkd file up to 2 MiB. You can compare two files side by side on a larger screen, search within a document, and change the reading appearance. You do not need an account to read a file.
The viewer is read-only and does not save edits to disk. Leaving or reloading discards the open documents from the tab; the original files stay on your device. Import is a separate action that requires signing in and opens a note draft.
Images start collapsed. Revealing a remote image may contact its host. Relative image paths cannot be resolved because opening one file does not grant access to its surrounding folder.
