1. Export as Markdown & CSV
In Notion, export the pages you want to move using Markdown & CSV. Keep the downloaded ZIP intact. Asterive accepts both a direct export ZIP and the wrapper ZIP containing one or more Part-*.zip files, and includes the parts in one preview. Keep a backup of the original download.
2. Choose Notion in Import existing notes
Sign in to Asterive, open Import existing notes from the new-note choices, the header, or Manage → Imports, and choose Notion. Upload the downloaded ZIP without unpacking it. Search the detected notes and labels, inspect warnings, and select the content to include. Confirm only after reviewing the preview.
3. Review notes rather than assume workspace parity
This is an import into a note library, not a live connection to your Notion workspace. Check representative pages, links, tables, and files after import. Do not assume that database behavior, permissions, or every Notion block will operate as it did in Notion. Unsupported or missing attachments may be skipped with warnings. Supported files pass verification before becoming available.
Plan capacity and recovery
Free accepts import files up to 25 MiB and previews up to 2,000 parsed notes. Pro accepts up to 100 MiB and 20,000 parsed notes. Imported notes and attachments must also fit current account capacity; a successful preview does not reserve it. For an oversized export, export a smaller selection in Notion. If you refresh or close Asterive, processing continues and reopening Import recovers the unfinished job.
Avoid duplicate imports and keep a recovery copy
A confirmed import creates new copies without changing your Notion workspace. Reimporting the same ZIP can create duplicates; retrying an unfinished job does not create another batch. Review completion warnings and use Manage → Imports for batch-wide Undo if needed. Undo removes that batch’s notes and exclusive files, while keeping files still used elsewhere. Keep your Notion export until you have verified the new library.
